Physical Assessment
First Impression, Deep Inspection
Every timepiece begins with a thorough physical examination. Our specialists assess the case, lugs, crown, pushers, clasp, and bracelet — measuring wear patterns, finish integrity, and dimensional accuracy against factory specifications. Scratches, dents, polishing history, and crystal condition are catalogued in full. Nothing is overlooked; every deviation from original condition is documented before the watch advances to the next stage.
Movement Verification
Inside the Machine
The movement is the heart of every luxury watch and the most common site of fraud. We identify the calibre, cross-reference it against the reference number, and inspect for signs of replacement, modification, or counterfeit components. Case back engravings, movement serial numbers, and finishing quality are verified against manufacturer documentation. An unmodified, correctly calibred movement is a non-negotiable requirement for certification.
Authenticity Verification
Provenance Without Doubt
Serial and reference numbers are examined under magnification and cross-referenced against manufacturer production databases. Dials, hands, indices, and luminous material are inspected for genuine provenance — counterfeit dials often fail at the microscopic level. Hallmarks on gold and platinum cases are tested using industry-standard tools. Where available, original papers, service records, and box documentation are authenticated and filed with the piece.
Timing & Accuracy Test
Measured Against the Standard
Each watch is placed on a precision timing machine and tested across six positions — dial up, dial down, crown up, crown down, crown left, crown right. Rate deviation is measured in seconds per day and compared against the manufacturer's stated tolerance. Watches with COSC-certified movements are held to an even tighter standard. Any timepiece that falls outside tolerance is noted; those with mechanical issues are flagged for disclosure or excluded from listing entirely.
Condition Grading
Transparency You Can Trust
We apply a structured, four-tier grading scale — Mint, Excellent, Very Good, and Good — with photographic evidence for each grade assigned. Every grade is defined against objective criteria, not subjective opinion. This grading is reflected directly in the product listing so buyers know exactly what they are purchasing before a single dirham changes hands. Hidden condition surprises are the enemy of trust; we eliminate them entirely.
Certification & Seal
The Badge is Earned, Not Given
Only watches that pass every preceding stage receive the LS Certified designation. A unique certification number is issued, a full inspection record is filed, and the LS Certified badge is applied to the listing. When a watch arrives at your door bearing this mark, it carries the weight of every specialist, every test, and every standard that went into earning it. This is our promise — in writing, and in practice.

Every LS Certified watch is backed by our authenticity guarantee. If any item is found to be inauthentic within 30 days of purchase, we will issue a full refund — no questions asked. In thirteen years of operation, we have never had to honour that clause. We intend to keep it that way.
