Trust

A Legacy of Trust in Every Timepiece

Founded in 2013 under the patronage of the Dubai SME (Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment), Luxury Souq was established by an Emirati entrepreneur. Today, the brand is privately owned by luxury watch connoisseur Khaled Mohamed Ebrahimi. Blending Swiss-educated expertise with a second-generation family heritage in horology trading, he continues to drive the company’s premium legacy forward.

The Beginning

A Vision Takes Root

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid's Dubai SME initiative, Khaled Mohamed Ebrahimi founded LuxurySouq in Dubai — the same year the city won the right to host World Expo 2020. Armed with a Master's in Luxury Goods Management from the University of Geneva and a Graduate Gemologist certification, Khaled opened a 1,500 sq ft space with a team of five and one unwavering ambition: to redefine how the Arab world buys and sells luxury timepieces.

Global Recognition

Trusted by the World's Largest Watch Marketplace

Just one year in, LuxurySouq earned verified partner status on Chrono24 — the world's leading online marketplace for luxury watches. Simultaneously listed on JamesEdition, the brand gained instant credibility with international collectors seeking authenticated pre-owned timepieces from the Gulf region.

Full Commitment

All In on Luxury

After five years in banking at HSBC, Khaled made the decisive move: leaving his corporate career to dedicate himself entirely to LuxurySouq. What had started alongside a professional life now became his life's work. The brand shifted gears — growing faster, sourcing wider, and serving a rapidly expanding circle of discerning clients across the UAE.

Swiss Roots

At the Source — Geneva & Lausanne

Khaled deepened personal relationships with Switzerland's most respected dealers, visiting storied establishments like Horlogerie de la Cité on Pont Charles-Bessières in Lausanne. Direct access to Swiss trade networks meant LuxurySouq clients could source watches that never appeared on the open market — a defining advantage over any competitor.

Reputation

Dubai's Most Trusted Name in Pre-owned Watches

Word spread through Dubai's collector community the old-fashioned way — person to person. Khaled's combination of gemological expertise, international sourcing networks, and transparent pricing built a reputation that no advertising could manufacture. Clients didn't just buy watches — they brought friends, family, and fellow collectors.

Ultra-Luxury

The Ultra-Luxury Chapter Opens

LuxurySouq completed its first transaction above AED 500,000 — a milestone that confirmed the brand's position at the top of the market. Patek Philippe grand complications, Richard Mille rarities, and Audemars Piguet royal editions found new homes through a level of expertise and discretion that ultra-high-net-worth collectors demand.

Legacy Building

A Portfolio Worth Over $20 Million

Six years in, LuxurySouq's curated inventory had grown to represent over $20 million USD in value — spanning 70+ Swiss watch brands from entry luxury to seven-figure complications. A growing base of repeat clients and international referrals confirmed what Khaled had always believed: in luxury, trust is the most valuable currency of all.

Resilience

When the World Paused, Collectors Invested

As global markets reeled from the pandemic, demand for tangible, lasting value quietly accelerated. Luxury timepieces — especially Rolex, Patek Philippe, and AP — appreciated dramatically in the secondary market. LuxurySouq served a growing community of clients who understood that a great watch is not just an object, but a legacy asset that holds its value across generations.

Expansion

From Dubai to the Entire Region

Post-pandemic momentum brought record transactions and a rapidly expanding client base stretching from the UAE into Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and beyond. Khaled began laying the groundwork for something bigger — a digital platform worthy of the world-class watches LuxurySouq represented.

Going Digital

Building the Arab World's Finest Watch Platform

Khaled commissioned research, studied global luxury e-commerce, and mapped every touchpoint of the serious collector's journey. The goal was clear: build the most trusted, most transparent luxury watch marketplace the Arab world had ever seen — a platform that reflects the same precision and craft as the timepieces it showcases.

Media Spotlight

Gulf News, Expanded Collections & a Growing Audience

Gulf News ran a major corporate feature on LuxurySouq's expanded collection and revitalised in-store experience — the first mainstream press recognition of a decade's work. The brand simultaneously expanded into fine jewellery and lifestyle accessories, widening its appeal while maintaining the watch expertise at its core. Social media audiences began to grow exponentially.

2 Million Strong

Dubai's Watch King — 2 Million Followers

Khaled's personal Instagram @luxurysouqls crossed two million followers — making him one of the most followed luxury watch personalities in the world. Viral TikToks, YouTube features, and international press cemented LuxurySouq's reputation far beyond the UAE. Behind the content, the fundamentals remained the same: authentic watches, expert knowledge, and clients who return for life.

The Next Chapter

The Rise of Dubai's Watch King

Featured in the widely shared podcast episode "The Rise of Dubai's Watch King", Khaled shared the full story of LuxurySouq's journey from a 1,500 sq ft Dubai shop to an internationally recognised luxury powerhouse. With the launch of LuxurySouq's new digital platform, the brand enters its next era — one where every collector in the world can access Dubai's finest pre-owned timepieces.
